Obama Meets Resistence For Health Care Reform

Representative Jared Polis President Obama is working hard to promote his new Health Care Reform bill but is finding that resistence is mounting not suprisingly from Republicans but from his own Democrats. 5280 Magazine in Denver, Colorado noted that Representative Jared Polis, along with approximately 20 other freshman and sophomore representatives have authored a letter stating their doubts about the surtax that would be imposed on higher earners to pay for this. “Some successful family-owned businesses would be taxed at higher rates than multinational corporations,” Polis says. Michael Vick Released

Michael Vick was released from federal prison on Monday after serving his sentence in Leavenworth followed by his house arrest. Michael was originally convicted for his part in a dog fighting operation. There is still no word on whether or not he will be returning to the NFL after his indefinite suspension back in 2007. Commissioner Roger Goodell has previously stated that he would not be making any decision until after the case had come to a conclusion.
